5 Healthy Smoothie Recipes

There’s nothing quite like a delicious, creamy smoothie packed with nutrients and vitamins to start the day. A healthy smoothie can replace a whole meal when made right and it’s so versatile, you can mix and match so many different fruits and veg to create hundreds of spectacular, super healthy combinations.

Without further ado, let’s look at 5 easy, vegan, and super healthy smoothie recipes that you can whip together in 10 minutes!

Tip #1: Cut all your fruits and veg into bite-size piece so it blends easier.

Tip #2: Don’t blend your fruits and veg without liquid, your blender will hate you. Systematically add small portions of fruit/veg-liquid, repeat.

Tip #3: Garnish your smoothie with muesli or mint leaves, you know, for insta.

Sidenote: “A splash” and “A Dash” meaning as much as you want. I don’t really measure how much liquid I use in smoothies; I just splash it in – but for all those perfectionists out there, I’d say about 1 cup of liquid will do.

What you’ll need:

  • A good quality blender
  • 1 cup strawberries
  • 1 cup banana
  • ½ a cup of blueberries
  • A splash of coconut milk
  • A splash of cranberry juice

This is a classic smoothie, a sweet and creamy berry, and banana combination. This healthy smoothy is packed with vitamins, remarkably high levels of antioxidants, and fiber thanks to the strawberries and blueberries.

Blueberries are also rich in vitamin C and they aid in preventing heart diseases and cancer. Banana contains lots of vitamin B6 which is incredibly good for producing white blood cells and aids in weight loss.

This smoothie is great for easing inflammation and fights signs of aging. You know what they say, a Pink Lady a day keeps the doctor away!

What you’ll need:

  • A good quality blender
  • 1 cup kiwi
  • 1 cup green apple
  • 1 avocado
  • ½ a cup Celery (optional)
  • A splash of coconut milk
  • A splash of litchi juice

This one is a personal favorite. Kiwis are delicious and the benefits are endless. Just to name a few: it aids digestion, boosts your immune system, controls blood pressure, treats asthma and the list goes on.

Avocado might seem like an unlikely smoothie ingredient, but trust me, it makes your smoothie so earthy and creamy. Not to mention the health benefits of avocados are unreal. They contain insane amounts of potassium, more than bananas. They are great for heart health and they contain tons of fiber.

This smoothie is tremendously nutritious. However, you can kick it up a notch by adding some Celery, which will make this drink the overall-health game changer.

What you’ll need:

  • A good quality blender
  • 1 cup green apple
  • 1 cup zucchini
  • 1 cup chopped spinach
  • 1 cup carrots
  • 2 tbs honey
  • A splash of apple juice
  • Ice

This smoothie is more for an acquired pallet. It doesn’t quite taste like your typical Pink Lady. Nonetheless, it’s still delicious and an amazingly easy way to get in your veggies.

I love zucchinis. It’s so versatile and nutritious. This vegetable is also high in antioxidants and helps your digestion. It can strengthen your vision and reduce your blood sugar levels.

Everyone knows how beneficial spinach is, but not everyone enjoys the taste – so why not put it in your smoothie? (I promise you can’t taste it.) Spinach contains a plethora of vitamins and minerals. It is known to be the king of vitamin K – which makes it the vitamin King.

This smoothie might be something to get used to in the beginning, especially if you are known to be picky with food or vegetables. But once you start appreciating it and seeing your health improve drastically, you won’t look back!
